Bunya Bunya Chardonnay 2023

Bunya Bunya Chardonnay 2023

from $25.00

In 1887 two Bunya Bunya trees were planted in the front lawn of the new homestead.  Majestically they still stand tall giving welcome shade from the summer sun.

Bunya Bunya trees are unique and rare, qualities we thought appropriate to take pride of place on the label of our Chardonnay.

Tasting Notes

The Chardonnay is sourced from our western facing block. The yields are a little lower from this block which gives added intensity. The Chardonnay shows some lemon and nutmeg on the nose while it has a fresh citrus flavoured palate with a tight finish. The potential to cellar for the next 3 -5 years.

Winemakers Notes

Colour: Good youthful colour, with yellow green tints dominating
Nose: Intense tropical and grapefruit nose with vanilla oak
Palate: Rich full palate showing fresh acidity well balanced by creamy lees contact characters

Testimonials

“At the end of our 14000k odyssey Sydney to Exmouth and return we drifted thru Gundagai having spent time in Margaret River and the Clare valley. We were lucky to discover your vineyard by happenstance, and bought a mixture of wine beer and cider. Just opened the above Chardy and wow, what a delicious drop. Certainly at least equal to the best that we bought on our trip. Me thinks I am going to need some more.” - Peter Frame
