Raising Money for the Wagga Women's Health Centre
In May, Borambola Wines took part in a very special Mother’s Day gift for a great cause. Led by the Thirsty Crow Brewery we were proud to be a featured business in their Mother’s Day Local Guide, offering discounts to several amazing local businesses (listed below), all in the name of raising money for the Wagga Women’s Health Centre.
We are pleased to report that $500 was raised and donated to the centre. The women working at the centre do an absolutely amazing job, while we are being encouraged to stay home these women are supporting women suffering domestic violence and raising awareness for women’s health and wellbeing.
About Wagga Women’s Health Centre
The Wagga Women’s Health Centre is a feminist, community based non-government organisation. The Wagga Women’s Health Centre provides an alternative, feminist health care service run by women for women ensuring accessibility, without financial or cultural barriers, to the women of Wagga Wagga and surrounding districts. The term health incorporates a range of types of wellness, including emotional, psychological and social, as well as physical. Services offered at the Wagga Women’s Health Centre include support, counselling, health education, groups and referrals. Most services at the Centre are free, however, donations are greatly appreciated. Fees for some groups and programs may apply.
