James Halliday, AM (born 1938) is an Australian wine writer and critic, winemaker, and senior wine competition judge. Since 1979 he has written and co-authored more than 40 books on wine, including contributions to the Larousse Encyclopedia of Wine and The Oxford Companion to Wine. 2004 - Bunya Bunya Chardonnay - rated 87
Medium yellow-green, the bouquet has a clean, smooth nectarine fruit with subtle French oak in the background, the pace picking up on the palate with abundant sweet peachy fruit, subtle oak and a hint of residual sweetness.
Best paired with Roast Pork.
2005 - Hiraji’s Spell Shiraz - rated 87
A massively powerful prune, plum, blackberry and dark chocolate mix.
Best paired with lamb, beef, cheese, chicken and duck.

Shiraz - Bright, clear purple-red; a medium bodied, appealing mix of black cherry, plum and blackberry.
Cabernet Sauvignon - A powerful, savoury, earthy wine; the Cabernet sauvignon reflects the cool vintage even in this relatively warm area.
Best paired with red meat.
