With the Ceremony being held at Uneke Warehouse, the guests soon flowed on to Borambola Wines for a magical reception. We are delighted to share with you a blog post written by Thomas about his time in Wagga Wagga.

WAGGA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | UNEKE WAREHOUSE + BORAMBOLA WINES

March and April this year were particularly crazy for me. I had no fewer than eight weddings in that two month period that required either a huge drive, or a flight. These were in places like Brisbane, Wagga, Canberra, Mudgee, Goulburn and the Hunter Valley. One of these was Angie and Shane’s absolutely joyous Uneke Warehouse + Borambola Wines wedding that I’m happy to share with you below. This was my second Wagga wedding of the month – I love this place!

Both Uneke and Borambola are in the lovely town of Wagga. This was my second Wagga wedding in the space of a few months; I really don’t mind the long drive as I adore seeing new parts of Aus, and shooting at places to which I’ve never been before. Uneke Warehouse is an amazing space for a wedding, and one of the most incredible ceremony locations I’ve ever seen. It’s an old warehouse that has been restored but that retains its original character: tall ceilings, exposed beams, amazing floorboards. The white walls and large windows mean amazing natural light that is really fun to shoot in. I was in photographer heaven shooting this Uneke Warehouse wedding!

Angie + Shane’s Wagga wedding reception was at the amazing Borambola Wines which is just a few km outside of town. For me this venue is the perfect mix of long tree-lined drives, manicured lawns, and also old sheds, silos and tumbling walls. This Borambola Wines wedding reception was in a marquee amongst the vines, and we were treated to an absolutely amazing sunset.

Angie and Shane (and their bub Flynn) were wonderful hosts at their Wagga wedding, and within a few minutes of arriving I felt like I was hanging out with old friends (it’s really crazy how often this happens to me at weddings!) I loved watching emotion play across Shane’s face as he watched Angie coming down the aisle.

Angie, Shane: thank you so much for inviting me along to document your day! If you’re reading this and you’re getting married at Uneke, Borambola, if you’re just looking for a Wagga wedding photographer, I’d love to hear from you! And if you’d like to see some other country weddings I’ve shot, you could check out this Canowindra wedding, or this Daylesford wedding.
